LIMA – Around 2,500 motorcyclists rode on Sunday through Lima’s main avenues, carrying the colors of Peru in a nearly one kilometer (0.6 miles) long convoy.
The riders cruised in three parallel columns representing the Peruvian flag with riders on the sides wearing red and those in the center wearing white.
The activity was organized by the Peruvian Automobile Association on the occasion of the National Day, commemorating Peru’s Independence Day in late July.
The convoy left the municipality building in the district of Los Olivos in northern Lima and completed a journey of 46 kilometers (29 miles) to reach the Jockey Exhibition Center, where a motorcycle fair is currently being held.
The convoy passed through Paseo de los Heroes Navales, in the historic center of Lima, touching the Green Coast on the shore of the Pacific Ocean.
