WASHINGTON, D.C. -- On behalf of President Obama and the people of the United States, I congratulate the people of Argentina as you celebrate your Independence Day on July 9.
The United States and Argentina have worked to advance our common goals and shared values for over two centuries.
We continue to work hand in hand to foster international engagement and understanding through educational and cultural exchanges.
Your leadership in international peacekeeping operations, nonproliferation efforts, and the advancement of LGBTI human rights, helps maintain stability and peace across the globe.
On this day of celebration, I wish all Argentines a prosperous future.
