Severed Heads Left Outside TV Station in Mexico

GUADALAJARA, Mexico – A cooler holding a pair of severed human heads was left outside a television station in this western Mexican metropolis, sources in the Jalisco state Attorney General’s Office told EFE on Wednesday.

The cooler was accompanied by a poster bearing an unspecified message directed at a judge, the sources said.

Station employees made the gruesome discovery Tuesday night and contacted police.

Separately, authorities found a package containing a pig’s head and a threatening message in the vicinity of the main court complex in Guadalajara, the state capital.

The incidents did not appear to be related, according to the state AG Office, which said that the human heads were taken to the medical examiner’s office for identification.
