Internal Director of PDVSA

Chemical Engineer graduated at the Universidad de los Andes in 1979.

In that same year, he began his career in the oil industry at the refinery of El Palito. In 1989, he was assigned in the UOP-USA to make a specialization in processes. In 1990 he was the leader of a project called Proyecto de Expansión de las Unidades de Crudo y Vacío at the refinery of El Palito. From 1995 to 1999 he took several supervisor and management positions.

In the year 2000 he outstood in the presidential office of PDVSA, in the restructuring of the Ministry of Production and Commerce, and then in the process of the economic constituent.

In 201, he was appointed Human Resources Manager in Bitúmenes Orinoco. A year later, he was appointed Assistant to the Board of Directors of that company.

In January 2003, he took the post of General Manager at the Refinery of El Palito. Later that year, he takes the roll of Executive Director of Human Resources. In March 2004 he became the Executive Director of Supplies and Commerce, while leading the Negotiations Team of PDVSA in the discussions for the collective hiring from 2004-2006.
