He started his career at Schlumberger in 1981, as a Fiel Engineer in Argentina and Brasil in the Deep Water Project. In 1994, he was appointed World Coordinatorof New Technologies. Later, in 1996, he became Resident Director for Brasil, and in 1998 General Manager of Schlumberger in Northern Africa. He was selected Vice-President in North and South America in the year 2000; and two years later, he became the Solutions Group Manager of the main office in Paris, until 2003, where he took the General Management for Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. He came to Venezuela in August 2004, to take the same position, taking the region of Venezuela, Trinidad and the Caribbean.
