Smith, Richard

Regional Consultant reporting to International Marketing Sales Organization British Aerospace Plc.

Richard was educated at Millfield School. In 1978-81, attended University of Essex obtaining a BA (Latin American Studies). From 1982-87, worked in the representative office for various British companies in Venezuela including Rolls Royce, Vinten and Gairey Engineering in negotiations with the Venezuelan Armed Forces. From 1987 to 1990 joined the Sumitormo Bank in Business Promotion and External Debt Office, covering Andean Countries. In 1991-92 became Joint Representative for Sumitomo Bank based in Caracas in charge of institutional business, and its European and US subsidiaries. In 1994 assumed consultancy business as the Principal Executive of REYRECA for its representations, with contracts obtained for NVS and military bridging. In 1998 became full time Consultant for British Aerospace for the regional office based in Caracas.

Richard was born in Venezuela and has dual British and Venezuelan nationality. He has a daughter, Erika.
