President and Professor of the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración (IESA).
Born in Caracas in November 1942, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, Master's in Sociology of Education from the University of Chicago, and Doctorate in Education from Harvard University.
He has been a member of the Academic Council of Fundaciencia since 1980, and has been a member of the Directive Council of the Banco del Libro since 1984. He is also an advisor to the Polar Foundation.
Mr. Piñango has published various books and articles, and he is a columnist for the newspaper El Nacional.
He is married to Norma González, and has two children: María José and Anselmo.
