Maduro, Francisco V.

Representative of Barclays Bank PLC and Managing Director of Barclays Investment C.A.

Born in Caracas, he graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Metropolitana, Caracas; and obtained an MSE from the University Wharton School of Business and training programs at the Bank of Tokyo and American Express Bank.

He worked with Banco de Venezuela's group for eight years in different positions such as Executive Vice-President of the International Division; Director for Banvenez Mercado de Capitales; Director of Fondo Mutual de Venezuela, Director of Caja de Ahorro Banvenez.

He left the bank in 1990 to take the course of Higher Studies of National Defense at the IAEDEN.

He is a member of the Sociedad Bolivariana de Venezuela and of the Permanent Commision of National Defense of Fedecamaras. He is currently a Director of C.A. Ron Santa Teresa, Inversiones Tiquirito C.A., and Fundacion del Instituto de Altos Estudios de la Defensa (FUNDAIAEDEN) and President of the Asociacion de Representantes y de Bancos Extranjeros en Venezuela (ARBEV).
