Jencquel, Jacqueline

Born in Tientsin - Northern China - at the eve of the revolution; she was raised and educated in France.

She passed her Baccalaureat in the philosophy section, after having spent a year in England at Byculla School, Liss-Hants and having passed A levels in German, French and English Literature.

Then she went on with her studies in Paris at the Sorbonne, where she read German and English literature and linguistics.

After her graduation she married her first husband - a German from Kiel in Northern Germany, where she lived for 5 years, graduated as high school teacher and started teaching modern languages at the Wllingdorf Gymnasium.

Her son Julian was born in Kiel on December 25, 1968. Two years later she got divorced and moved to Hamburg with Julian.

In May 1973, she met her second husband, Jurgen, who took her to Venezuela and adopted Julian.

Jurgen Jr. was born on October 24, 1974 and Johann Maximilian on March 12, 1978.

Jacqueline dedicated herself to raising her children and it was a full time job, but a most fulfilling one.

In 1988 she started working as a free lance for Air France, she speaks 7 languages, is well educated and very well connected. This was an asset for the airline, and for her it was a challenge, so it soon became a full-time job.

In 1995 she was called to Paris by Luise Roy, who was in charge of North and South America for Air France and started to work on a project to develop "Concorde" between Paris and New York. This was a very challenging task and Jacqueline was very keen on completing it, however, there were constant shifts of power in the started-owned company and with the resignation of Christian Blanc, Louise Roy and all her team left Air France and Jacqueline without a job.

She started a company of her own Jacqueline Jencquel Representaciones S.A., representing luxury hotels, resorts, and boarding-schools, but she missed the excitement and the fun of working for an airline.

When Lufthansa came back to Venezuela in March 1999, she got her opportunity and thanks to the trust Andreas Denecke, General Manager of the airline, placed in her, she started again what she loves: Customer Service and Project Development.

She is proud and happy to be working with a young dynamic team, and to be promoting an excellent product.

Jurgen and Jacqueline are members of the Caracas Country Club and of the Club an Der Alster in Hamburg.
