Couturier, Alain

Alain Couturier is a Partner & Director with Heidrick & Struggles Inc., the world's leading executive search firm recognized by the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment (IACPR) as the Best Performing Search Firm of the Year. He is a member of the firm's Industrial and International Technology Practices.

Alain Couturier has rendered services to a variety of client organizations, mainly industrial and technology-based multinational companies operating in Latin America. He has sucessfully recruited Country Managers, CEO's and Senior Executives for operations, marketing, finance and staff positions. He has exposure to executive search in several Latin American Markets.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, he was Partner with TASA International- Caracas, Venezuela; also an international executive search firm.

Prior to becoming an executive search professional, he developed for over 20 years an international career with the Renault Group (automotive) in Europe, Middle East and Latin America. His last positon was CEO in charge of the operations in Venezuela.

By appointment of the French Government, he is an Advisor to the French Embassy in Venezuela for economic matters. He is a Board Member of the Venezuelan-French Chamber of Commerce, member of the Executive Committee of the Alliance Francaise, and Vice-President of the Jules Verne Foundation in Venezuela. He is also a member of the Venezuelan Association fof Executives and of the Information Technology committee of VenAmCham.

Born and educated in France, where he received degrees in Law and Political Science at the Grenoble University.

He holds both Venezuelan and French citizenships.
