Clowes, Michael

Graduated in 1981 with BSc (Eng) degree in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London.

Worked with Esso as Reservoir Engineer from 1981-1989 with Exploration and Production UK Ltd. supporting exploration and development of North Sea oil fields, including a 2 year assignment to Shell Exploration and Production UK Ltd., as well as Site Petroleum Engineer. Transferred in 1990 to Esso Australia to mitigate decline in Esso's Bass Strait oil fields.

Joined Lasmo Australia in 1991 to support the Timor Sea and North West Shelf exploration activities. In 1992 was transferred to Lasmo Colombia as Reservoir Engineer and Economic Manager supporting exploration and development of oil and gas fields.

In 1994 was assigned to Anadarkos Algerian oil discoveries and planning for large scale miscible flooding.

In 1997 was transferred to the Venezuelan 3rd. round evaluation project and was subsequently appointed to Subsurface manager for the Dacion Project.
