Bentata, Victor O.B.E.

Ex President of CVBC

Doctor of Law of the University of Paris and the Central University of Venezuela. Dr. Bentata holds two additional doctorates both in Paris and in Venezuela. Attormey-at-Law and Industrial Property Agent. A specialist of the legal aspects of international trade investments. He is the Director of Bentata Abogados with offices in New York and member of the First Latin American Law Group (LATIN-LEX), and has a representation in Frankfurt.

Author of several books and articles on aspects of joint-ventures and technology transfer to Venezuela and Latin America, among others "Trademark Law", "Protection of Software in Venezuela", "Revaluation of Assets". Dr. Bentata has chaired this Chamber in addition to the Japanese-Venezuelan, the Canadian-Venezuelan and the Moroccan-Venezuelan. He is a regular visiting Professor of law at the Univeristy of Paris, a Corr. of the Academy of Sciences, Letters and Fine Arts of Dijon (France) and Honorary Consul General of Iceland in Venezuela. Advisor and Co-editor of several international reviews, Trustee of the Inter-American Bar Foundation (Washington), and the author of the current Congressional Bill on Industrial Propery at the request of the Senate. He was honoured with the Royal Danish Distinction of RAD and the British OBE.

Dr. Bentata is completely fluent in the main five European languages.
