González Cortés, Rubén D.

President of the advisory group of Vegas, González & Binswanger.

Mr. Gonzalez was born in Mexico in 1948 of Venezuelan parents and educated in Washington D.C, and Mexico City. He received a degree in architecture from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and has additional studies in finance, marketing and facilities management.

Before joining Banco Construcción Financial Group in 1980, he directed a private architectural firm. Mr. Gonzalez managed nationwide projects and real estate strategic planning, and was promoted to Corporate Vice President of facilities and real estate; a position he held until 1993. He is a Board Member of Sociedad Financiera Construcción, Sociedad Fiduciaria Tequendama and Banco Tequendama in Bogota.

As a private consultant, he later focused on corporate real estate and facilities management, specializing in the logistics involved in start-up, member of Vegas Gonzalez Binswanger, a corporate real estate firm associated with Chesterton Blumenauer Binswanger. Mr. Gonzalez is an active member of the International Society of Facilities Executives at MIT, the International Facility Management Association, the Association of Venezuelan Engineers, the Association of Venezuelan Architects, and the Real Estate Chamber of Venezuela.

He is married to Ines Hurtado and has four sons: Cesar Alejandro, Ruben Ignacio, Luis Daniel and Jorge Andres.
