LIMA – Peruvian socialite Alessandra de Osma wed Germany’s Prince Christian of Hannover on Friday at Lima’s Church of St. Peter in a ceremony attended by family and international celebrities.
The bride, 26, is an attorney from one of Peru’s oldest and wealthiest families, known for their extensive art collection displayed at the Pedro de Osma Museum in the capital’s Barranco district.
The prince, 32, is the son of Prince Ernst August and his first wife, Chantal Hochuli.
The couple first met when Christian visited Lima in 2005 and formalized their relationship in 2010.
For the wedding, De Osma wore an elegant long-sleeve lacy white gown and a tiara.
Among the guests were the children of Ernst August’s current wife, Princess Caroline of Monaco, and model Kate Moss.
The religious ceremony was followed by a luncheon at Club Nacional.
The celebration will continue Saturday with a reception at Pedro de Osma Museum.
