LONDON – The United Kingdom’s Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the Scandinavian countries of Norway and Sweden early in 2018, Kensington Palace announced on Monday.
Prince William, the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II, and his wife Catherine, who is expecting the couple’s third child, would be visiting the Nordic nations on behalf of the British Foreign Office.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit Sweden and Norway from Tuesday 30th January to Friday 2nd February,” the Palace said in a tweet on its official Twitter page.
The royal couple are set to spend Jan. 30-31 in the Swedish capital Stockholm before traveling onto Oslo, where they would stay until Feb. 2.
Catherine, who is mother to Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, will be in the advanced stages of pregnancy at that point.
