Photos Released for Prince George's Third Birthday

LONDON - Photographs of Britain's Prince George, who is third in line to the throne, were released on Friday by Kensington Palace, celebrating the occasion of his third birthday.

The eldest child of the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was photographed at the royal country residence of Amner Hall by photographer Matt Porteous.

A spokesman for Kensington Palace said: "The Duke and Duchess hope that people will enjoy seeing these new photographs."

"They would like to thank everyone for all the lovely messages they have received as Prince George celebrates his third birthday," he added.

The photographs show Prince George in a variety of scenarios, ranging from standing on a swing, interacting with the family's pet dog, walking in the country and posing for a portrait.

Porteous said that he felt honored to have had the opportunity to do the photo shoot.

Prince George has a sister, Princess Charlotte, who was born in May 2015.

Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge were married in 2011 at Westminster Abbey in London, an occasion that received a lot of media attention.
