Dutch Royal Family in Argentina for Christmas Holidays

BUENOS AIRES – Netherland’s King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima have arrived at the scenic resort of Villa La Angostura in Argentina along with their three daughters for the Christmas holidays.

The royal family posed for photographers on Monday at the Los Arrayanes National Park, a location chosen by the queen who is Argentine by birth.

Ever smiling and joined in a hug, Maxima, Willem-Alexander and the princesses, Amalia, Alexia and Ariana, readily posed amid picturesque surroundings.

The royal family was dressed informally with the girls wearing different types of sandals and shades of pink.

It was not the first time that the Dutch royal family is enjoying their Christmas in Villa La Angostura, a popular vacation spot known for its beauty and the privacy it offers.

The couple and their daughters are staying at the Cumelen Country Club, an exclusive resort owned by the queen’s younger brother.

The rest of Maxima’s family will also be joining in the Christmas celebrations, including her father, who was hospitalized a month ago in Buenos Aires for complications from leukemia.

In November, the queen traveled to the Argentine capital to visit her ailing father whose health problems, according to the family, are under control.
