Spainís Queen Letizia Wears Favorite Shade of White for Royal Ceremony

MADRID Ė Queen Letizia wore an outfit in her favorite shade of white on Thursday to the ceremony at which her husband, King Felipe VI, was proclaimed Spainís new monarch.

The outfit, characterized by simplicity and straight lines, was in a color that Queen Letizia has worn on many of the most important occasions in her life.

The 41-year-old Queen Letizia wore a white outfit on Nov. 1, 2003, when she was presented to the press as Felipeís future wife.

King Felipe VIís and Queen Letiziaís daughters, Leonor, the Princess of Asturias, and Princess Sofia wore similarly styled outfits, but in different colors.

Queen Sofia, King Felipe VIís mother, also wore a traditionally cut dress in a shade of lime accented with pearls, while Princess Elena, the monarchís sister, wore a suit in white and pink tones.
