International Ladies celebrate with castañuelas
For years now a group of dedicated women from the international corps of different countries living in Venezuela have been working together to support important charitable activities,

specially, the José Gregorio Hernández orphanage. To keep things simple, they named their group Asociación de Damas Internacionales. It was founded by the charming lady Gertie Páez Pate, an artist, and ecologist and a very responsive person that really cares about the most needed ones.

To get the charity ball rolling, they recently held a wine and cheese tasting at the Valle Arriba Golf Club in Valle Arriba, where they enjoyed a splendid evening in the Spanish fashion.

A Flamenco group presented an excellent performance, they really new how to make the castañuelas sound terrific! The International Ladies donate funds to more than 30 children living in the orphanage; often to cover basic necessities, food and clothing, but also many other things, depending on the needs of the institution.

This year’s agenda included coffee mornings, concerts, and entertaining events aimed at bringing the international community together and raising money for their very valuable and worthy charity work.
