The admirable Swiss!
We all hear about the perfect economic situation the Swiss have, and the citizens’ rights are respected, we all wish to live in a beautiful country like this, but how do the citizens make the law and rules work?

To learn about this issue, the VAAUW Ladies organized a fund – raising superb coffee morning where the guest speaker Walter Sutter, the Swiss Ambassador to Venezuela, gave a very interesting lecture about “How to live in Swiss land.”
It was a particularly well-attended event, with plenty of members to discuss diverse topics as they enjoyed an excellent brunch at the Swiss ambassador’s residence in the Country Club.
During the lecture, the VAAUW members posed questions about taxes, participative democracy, standard of living and immigration.
The event concluded successfully, and the VAAUW ladies renewed their wishes to help build a better future for the neediest sectors of society, with their outstanding educational projects.
