Rosalia to Perform at MTV Awards, Announces New Duet with Ozuna

MADRID – Spanish pop sensation Rosalia will be performing at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards along with a number of other artists, including Taylor Swift.

Bad Bunny, Camila Cabello, J Balvin, Lil Nas X, Lizzo and Shawn Mendes have also been announced for the lineup.

The musical gala, which Rosalia goes into with three nominations, will be held at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey (United States), on Aug. 26.

American stand-up comedian and actor Sebastian Maniscalco will host the VMA ceremony, which can be viewed in more than 180 countries.

The Spanish pop star is nominated in the categories of “best new artist” and “best choreography,” as well as in “best Latin video” for her collaboration with Colombian singer J Balvin in “Con altura.”

Con altura, a homage to the classic and original reggaeton, reached the Top 5 list of most-viewed YouTube videos and was named one of the 10 best songs of 2019 by Time magazine.

Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande both lead the nominations with 10 each.

The battle for “Artist of the Year” is between Ariana Grande, Cardi B, Halsey, Jonas Brothers, Shawn Mendes and Billie Eilish.

Rosalia has just released on her social media accounts a teaser for an upcoming duet with the Puerto Rican reggaeton star, Ozuna, named “Yo x ti, tu x mi.”
