Santa Claus Snuggles Sharks in Tokyo, Frolics with Fish in Manila

TOKYO – Santa Claus swapped snow for the pool across Asia on Friday, diving with sea creatures in aquariums in Japan and the Philippines.

At Sunshine Aquarium in Tokyo, one diving Santa snuggled with zebra sharks and played with rays.

The dive is scheduled for 10 minutes twice a day until Christmas Day and also features “reindeer,” with which visitors could get their photo taken, according to a local community website.

At Manila Ocean Park, children and families gathered to take photos with another Santa swimming in the background among the fish.

Every December aquariums around the region get into the Christmas spirit with festive performances to entertain visitors.
