TOKYO – Prince Nikolai of Denmark took to the runway Friday at star-studded Dior men pre-fall collection in Japan.
The Dior men pre-fall show in Tokyo on Friday showcased British designer Kim Jones’s latest creations in a futuristic multimedia display that tapped into Japanese aesthetic cliches.
“For the men’s pre-fall show in Tokyo, Kim Jones curates a new collaboration between the house and a boundary-redefining artist, intrinsically tied to the cultural landscape of Japan, featuring a giant idealized female robot by artist Hajime Sorayama,” the fashion house said on Twitter.
The runway floor was embellished with beautiful pink cherry blossom in stark contrast to the huge shimmering female robot sculpture standing in the middle of the round stage the models strutted on.
The young Prince Nikolai of Denmark, age 19, featured in the show, having been billed as a rapidly rising fashion star since his first runway appearance alongside Cara Delevigne for Burberry’s London Fashion Week show.
Kate Moss and David Beckham were both in attendance modeling some of the garments at the “Stars in Dior” preview before the show.
