Lady Gaga Postpones European Leg of Tour due to Health

BARCELONA – Lady Gaga has had to postpone the European leg of her “Joanne World Tour” due to her health, concert promoters Live Nation and the singer herself confirmed on Monday.

The tour was due to kick off in Barcelona, Spain, on Thursday and end in Cologne, Germany, on Oct. 28, but has been pushed back as the American singer was “suffering from severe physical pain that has impacted her ability to perform.”

The popstar was “devastated” at having to “wait to perform for her European fans,” according to a statement on Gaga’s official website.

She would be spending “seven weeks proactively working with her doctors to heal from this and past traumas.”

New concert dates have not yet been announced, but fans who were due to see her perform in Europe were advised to hold on to their tickets pending new information.

The second leg of the North American tour was set to go ahead, the statement said.

“As I get stronger and when I feel ready, I will tell my story in more depth,” said Gaga of the news, adding that she planned “to take this on strongly so I can not only raise awareness, but expand research for others.”
