VARNA, Bulgaria Ė Poland defeated Puerto Rico 25-14, 25-12, 25-15 on Thursday to claim its second group round win in as many matches at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Menís World Championship.
The Polish team overwhelmed Puerto Rico earning 10 blocks and 11 aces, compared to three and zero, respectively.
Aleksander Sliwka gave Poland three blocks, while Grzegorz Lomacz provided eight aces.
Sliwka was also Polandís top scorer in the match with 13 points, while Puerto Ricoís Maurice Torres scored a team high eight points.
Poland leads Pool D with six points, pending the clash pitting Iran against Bulgaria as both teams won their opener, while Puerto Rico holds the sixth and last spot with zero points.
Next up for Poland will be Finland on Saturday, while Puerto Rico will take on Bulgaria.
