MADRID – Real Madrid’s coach Zinedine Zidane said on Friday that Wales forward Gareth Bale was important for the club.
Though Bale resumed working out with the team after recovering from a hamstring injury, Zidane said he did not know when Bale would return to competition.
“We know what he can give us. He’s very strong, powerful and technically good. He’s worked hard and has done very well in the matches he has played with this club,” Zidane said ahead of a La Liga match against Malaga.
“There’s a lot of talk that he’s injured, that he has spent a lot of time out, playing three games and then missing one. But he’s very important for us,” he added.
Real Madrid are gearing up to play Malaga on Saturday afternoon.
