Atletico’s Saul Ńiguez: I Am Lucky to Learn from Busquets

MADRID – Atletico Madrid’s midfielder Saul Ńiguez said on Thursday that he feels lucky every time he has been called up for Spanish national team play.

Being called up affords Ńiguez the chance to learn from compatriot, Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets.

Ńiguez made these remarks during a press conference held in Madrid, two days before Spain hosts Costa Rica in a friendly match.

“I am very lucky to play and learn from Busquets. He is one of the best players in the world,” Ńiguez said. “In his position, he is the best.”

“I am lucky to play by his side every time I join the national team and train with him,” Ńiguez added. “He can show me a lot of things and improving with him is a pleasure.”

Ńiguez said that he was lucky that the hard work he put in with his club made Spain’s coach Julen Lopetegui have faith in him.
