Man City Earns 10th Straight Premier Win at Arsenalís Expense (VIDEO)

LONDON Ė Manchester City defeated Arsenal 3-1 on Sunday in a controversial Premier League match.

Belgian Kevin de Bruyne got City on the scoreboard in the 19th minute with the only goal scored in the first half.

Five minutes after the break, Sergio Aguero, of Argentina, doubled the score, converting a controversial penalty kick.

The referee awarded City the penalty, punishing Spainís Nacho Monreal for slightly pushing Raheem Sterling.

Minutes after replacing Francis Coquelin, Arsenalís most expensive player, Alexandre Lacazette, led a rally with a goal on an assist by Aaron Ramsey.

Arsenalís rally, however, was short-lived as Gabriel Jesus scored another controversial goal on an assist by David Silva in the 74th minute.

Arsenalís players claimed the Spaniard was offside.

With the win, City keeps the top spot, with 31 points, eight points ahead of cross-city rival Manchester United, which is taking on defending champion Chelsea.

Arsenal, meanwhile, is in the sixth spot, with 19 points, on goal differential ahead of Burnley.

Earlier, a goal by South Korean Son Heung-min gave the Tottenham Hotspur a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
