BERLIN – Dutch international Arjen Robben has returned to fitness on Friday and will be available for Bayern as it prepares for its Bundesliga match against Ingolstadt after six months away due to a groin injury.
Robben said after Bayern training that everything seems to be fine now and he will be ready if selected for Saturday’s match.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti said Robben trained well and will surely be on the list, and may play some minutes.
Bayern will without Philipp Lahm, Thomas Müller and David Alaba, who suffers from intestinal problems.
However, in addition to Robben, Ancelotti will also be able to choose from Frenchman Kingsley Coman, who has recovered from a foot injury, as well as Jérôme Boateng.
“Robben and Boateng have trained very well this week,” Ancelotti said. “They’ll start on the bench tomorrow.”
Robben played his last official match with Bayern on March 5 against Borussia Dortmund when he suffered the injury which kept him out for the rest of last season.
