Republicans Send Obama Birthday Card from Venezuela's Chavez
US President Barack Obama celebrates his 51st birthday on Saturday and the opposition Republican National Committee couldn't let it pass without a gift of their own -- 20 different ironic birthday cards pointing out what they believe are the Democrat's major flubs, including one featuring Venezuela President Hugo Chavez saying "Here's to 4 more years of you telling people I'm not a threat, Happy Birthday."

CARACAS -- US President Barack Obama celebrates his 51st birthday on Saturday and the opposition Republican National Committee (RNC) couldn't let it pass without a gift of their own -- 20 different ironic birthday cards pointing out what they believe are the Democrat's major flubs.

One of the cards features Venezuela President Hugo Chavez and reads "Here's to 4 more years of you telling people I'm not a threat, Happy Birthday."

In July, Obama was asked during a campaign stop in the heavily Latin-focussed Miami whether he thought that Chavez was a threat to the United States, to which he replied that he did not. On Tuesday, US General Douglas Fraser, head of the US Southern Command, ratified Obama's risk assessment about Chavez.
