Ricky Martin Suspends Argentina Concert Due to Severe Muscle Spasm

BUENOS AIRES – Ricky Martin suspended a concert in the southern Argentine city of Neuquen after suffering a severe muscle spasm, the concert promoter said.

Just when everything was ready for the Puerto Rican singer to go onstage in the Patagonian city, the promoter announced at a press conference that the concert had been cancelled due to a severe muscle spasm that Martin had suffered after the concert he gave last Friday in Buenos Aires.

Organizers said that the concert will not be rescheduled, and the ticket prices will be returned to Martin’s fans.

The artist had already stated on Monday on his Twitter account that he was suffering from a pain in his neck that he rated at 7 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the worst, and what he intended to do to get better was to sleep and rest watching movies.

After hitting Cordoba, Rosario, Chaco, Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires, Martin had been scheduled to close out his Argentine tour on Thursday in the western city of Mendoza before traveling to Chile to continue with his “Musica+Alma+Sexo” road show highlighting numbers from his most recent album.
