Authorities Investigate Bomb Threat on Flight from Las Vegas to Los Angeles

WASHINGTON – Police on Sunday are investigating a bomb threat made by a man on board a flight to Los Angeles that had to return to Las Vegas and evacuate all the passengers as a precaution.

According to information provided by the Las Vegas police to KLAS-TV, the incident occurred on Saturday on a Spirit airline flight heading for Los Angeles and the man who made the bomb threat remains in custody.

The pilot took the plane back to Las Vegas’s McCarran international airport shortly after it took off. Police said that the man who issued the threat was drunk.

Authorities inspected the plane but found nothing suspicious and all passengers were evacuated and placed on another plane which took them to Los Angeles.
