MANAGUA – Three workers were killed during a robbery in La Pedrera, a district in northern Nicaragua, police said.
The victims, who worked for a Managua-based company, were killed on Friday afternoon, Rio Blanco police chief Capt. Francisco Rodriguez Valle said.
The robbers came away empty-handed because the workers had already deposited the money they collected while working the Managua-Siuna route, the police chief said.
Two of the victims have been identified as Ismael Guido and Arlen Orozco Mendoza, but the third man has not yet been identified, Rodriguez Valle said.
