Colombian Model Dies in Fall from Apartment Balcony

BOGOTA – Colombian model and television presenter Lina Marulanda died Thursday when she fell from the balcony of her sixth-floor Bogota apartment, authorities said, adding that they are treating the case as a possible suicide.

Marulanda died instantly, according to authorities.

The model was currently going through a divorce from her second husband, Carlos Oņate, a union that lasted just three months.

The fashion world opened doors for Marulanda to be able to get into the communications media, where she stood out as a TV presenter for the show business sector.

In addition, she headed up several reality shows on Colombian television, got into radio and was the public marketing face for assorted products.

Her work colleagues recalled her as a woman who combined beauty, character and intelligence. EFE
