JLo, Marc Anthony to Resume Separate Careers

ROME – Actress and singer Jennifer Lopez said the time has come for her and her husband, salsa star Marc Anthony, to chart their own paths professionally.

After working together on the 2006 feature-length film “El cantante,” a project in which she said the two were “very much in sync” with one another, Lopez said in an interview published Wednesday by the Italian magazine Chi that “now is the time for each of us to follow our own path. He’s an artist in his own right and I’m an artist in my own right.”

Lopez, who turned 40 last Wednesday and currently is in Italy on a family vacation, also said that success for her is nothing more or less than being happy and that the best day in her life was when her twins, Max and Emme, were born.

Professionally speaking, however, she said she thinks her best days are ahead of her.

The couple visited the islands of Ischia and Capri, off the coast of southern Italy, in the company of fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, as well as English model Naomi Campbell and her boyfriend, Russian real estate tycoon Vladislav Doronin. EFE
