LOS ANGELES – Spain’s Princess Letizia and Spanish actress Penelope Cruz are on the best-dressed list published Tuesday by the magazine Vanity Fair. In this exclusive group of sartorial splendor also appear names like Cayetana Fitz-James, duchess of Alba, bullfighter Enrique Ponce and his wife Paloma Cuevas, as well as businessman Alejandro Santo Domingo, son of Colombian magnate Julio Mario Santo Domingo. Those elected include repeat appearances by America’s First Lady Michelle Obama, her French counterpart Carla Bruni, and Letizia Ortiz, wife of Spain’s Crown Prince Felipe, whose style also convinced the magazine in 2008. Notable among the men were Brad Pitt and the new “James Bond,” Daniel Craig, chosen as among the most elegant by this publication for the third straight year, accompanied by the debut of Barack Obama, who after entering the White House seems to have improved his wardrobe in view of his presence on the list. Included among the Hollywood names are the young actress and Oscar candidate Anne Hathaway, along with Renee Zellweger, known for the “Bridget Jones’s Diary” comedies and other box-office attractions. Singer Alicia Keys also figures on this list of famous people, business leaders and aristocrats of good taste, from which Angelina Jolie was dropped this time around. EFE |
