 MADRID – Spain’s Gamesa Corporacion Tecnologica said Monday it signed a contract with Turbo Power Baja Energy to supply five wind turbines for the Rumorosa wind farm in Mexico’s Baja California state. The five wind turbines have a total capacity of 10 KW, Gamesa said. The contract covers the sale, installation, activation and maintenance of the wind turbines, Gamesa said. Work on the project is expected to begin later this year, the Spanish company said. The contract with Turbo Power Baja Energy expands Gamesa’s presence in Mexico, where the company has installed 186 MW of wind power. Gamesa, one of the largest manufacturers of wind turbines in the world, has installed more than 16,000 MW of its main product lines in 20 countries on four continents. EFE |
