"Ugly Betty" Actress Ana Ortiz is Pregnant, People Reports

MADRID -- Ana Ortiz, co-star of the hit television series "Ugly Betty," is pregnant and expecting a baby in July, the online edition of People magazine reported.

Ortiz, 37 and born in New York to Puerto Rican parents, has been married since 2007 to the guitarist of the Half Life band, Noah Lebenzon.

"They are thrilled and ecstatic," a friend of the couple told People magazine.

In "Ugly Betty," the U.S. version of the Latin American TV sensation "Betty la Fea," Ana Ortiz plays Hilda, sister of the leading role played by America Ferrera, the daughter of Honduran immigrants

For Ortiz, who will turn 38 on Jan. 25, having a child is a dream come true, as she confessed to People in September.

"It's definitely something that my husband and I talk about all the time," she told the magazine.
