BARCELONA – FC Barcelona’s director of football Eric Abidal traveled on Tuesday to Paris to negotiate with Paris Saint Germain over the transfer of Neymar, sources inside the Spanish club told EFE.
Barcelona has not hidden its interest in the Brazilian’s return after PSG decided to put his services up for sale.
Abidal leads a Barça delegation that includes board member Javier Bordas and intermediary Andre Cury, who was involved in Neymar’s arrival to Barcelona in 2013.
Barcelona says the trip is simply a bid to make contact with PSG to discuss the situation of the Brazilian forward.
It ruled out that the meeting would be the last one to strike a deal over the player’s return within the next few hours.
