LOS ANGELES – Actors Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg will host the 76th Golden Globes, to be held on Jan. 6, 2019 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, the organizers said on Wednesday.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) said in a statement that Oh and Samberg will replace Seth Meyers, last year’s master of ceremonies.
“We’re excited to welcome Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg as co-hosts of Hollywood’s Party of the Year. Both Golden Globe Award recipients have continually showcased their talents in film and television, and we can’t wait to see what their undeniable chemistry will bring to the Golden Globes stage,” HFPA president Meher Tatna said in a statement.
Samberg, a comedian, gained fame through the years he spent years on “Saturday Night Live “ and the series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” while Oh launched her career with “Grey’s Anatomy,” and has recently starred in the critically acclaimed “Killing Eve.”
Golden Globes opens the Hollywood film awards season every year. The nominations for its 76th edition were to be revealed on Thursday in Los Angeles.
