SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Sacramento Kings had five players score in double digits on Friday night as they defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-110.
Willie Cauley-Stein led the way for the home team with 25 points, while Buddy Hield (15 points, 10 rebounds) and De’Aaron Fox (16 points, 10 assists) each had a double-double.
The visiting Timberwolves trailed by just two points at the half, but the damage was done in the third quarter, when the Kings opened up an 11-point lead that would prove to be the difference.
The defeat for Minnesota was secured despite an impressive outing from Karl-Anthony Towns, who scored 39 points as well as making 19 rebounds.
Sacramento (7-5) returns to winning ways after falling at home to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, while Minnesota (4-9) continues its poor start to the season.
