Brazil Eases to 2-0 Friendly Win over Saudi Arabia

RIYADH – Gabriel Jesus and Alex Sandro got on the scoresheet as Brazil defeated Saudi Arabia 2-0 in a friendly match played in sweltering conditions on Friday night in the Saudi capital.

The South American side fielded a strong team featuring the likes of Neymar and Philippe Coutinho as Brazil prepared to face rivals Argentina in their next match, also a friendly.

Manchester City striker Jesus opened the scoring after being played in by Neymar, although replays showed he was fractionally offside.

It was nothing less than the visitors deserved, as Brazil, who were superior in all categories, made all of the inroads as they took control of the match early on.

Sandro added some gloss to the victory in the final minutes, heading in Neymar’s outswinging corner from inside the six-yard box.
