Torres Shares Lead with 3 Others after 2nd Round at Evian

EVIAN, France – Puerto Rico’s Maria Torres, the co-leader after the first round of the Evian Championship, found herself sharing the top spot with three other golfers following Friday’s second round of the final LPGA major of the year.

Torres and Carlota Ciganda were together atop the leader board at the start of play at the Evian Resort Golf Club in the southeastern French town of Evian-les-Bains.

By the end of the day, Torres was tied at 8 under par with Lee Mi Hyang of South Korea and US golfers Amy Olson and Mo Martin.

Ciganda fell to 7 under, while Ryu So Yeon of South Korea, world No. 3 Georgia Hall of the United Kingdom and Canada’s Brooke Henderson were among seven other golfers tied at 6 under.
