England Squad Trains for Last Time at World Cup Ahead of Belgium Match

ZELENOGORSK, Russia – England’s squad took to training turf for the last time on Friday ahead of their World Cup clash against Belgium to determine which side claims third place.

England’s dream of reaching the final against France was crushed Wednesday evening when Croatia beat the team 2-1 in extra time.

All of the squad’s 23 players took part in Friday’s training session held at the Spartak Zelenogorsk Stadium in Zelenogorsk, ahead of Saturday’s playoff, the Three Lions said on Twitter.

England captain Harry Kane tweeted: “It’s time now to hold our heads high as a nation and be proud of each other. I’m excited to be part of this team and the challenge to improve going forward.”

England faces Belgium on Saturday in St. Petersburg, while the final between France and Croatia takes place on Sunday.
