ISTRA, Russia – Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann declined on Tuesday to say whether he intends to remain with the La Liga team.
The 27-year-old Frenchman had previously said he would decide his sporting future before Thursday, when the 2018 FIFA World Cup begins in Russia.
“Sorry, it’s not the day for it,” Griezmann said during a press conference in the Russian city of Istra, where France is holding their training camp.
Griezmann has a contract until June 2022 with Atletico Madrid, which includes a 100-million-euro buyout clause.
France is to play in Group C against Australia on Saturday, followed by Peru (June 21) and Denmark (June 26).
