Carvajal Joins Spain Practice; Pique Trains Normally Ahead of World Cup

KRASNODAR, Russia Ė Spainís Dani Carvajal joined on Tuesday his national teamís training session in the southern Russian city of Krasnodar, where the team is based in preparations for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Real Madridís 26-year-old right-back completed the morning session with the rest of his teammates for the first time since the hamstring injury he sustained during Los Blancosí 3-1 UEFA Champions League final victory over Liverpool on May 26.

Defender Gerard Pique has also trained smoothly with his international teammates after he had a left knee injury scare on Monday, which forced him to miss the training that took place later on that day.

Goalkeeper David de Gea, defenders Sergio Ramos and Cesar Azpilicueta, midfielders Andres Iniesta and Koke, winger Lucas Vazquez and striker Rodrigo took part in the session led by coach Julen Lopetegui.

Spain was drawn in Group B alongside Portugal, Morocco, and Iran at the tournament set to kick off on June 14 in Russia.
