LONDON Ė Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday announced that English midfielder Harry Winks had renewed his contract with the team until 2023.
Winks, 22, has played 25 games with Tottenham in all competitions this season, but only three of them took place in 2018, as he has been dealing with an ankle injury during the second half of the season.
ďIím delighted to sign a new contract with the club ... Itís been a mixed season for me in terms of playing, with some of the heights of the Bernabeu and getting some great wins, but thereís been some lows as well with my ankle injury,Ē said Winks in a statement on the clubís official website.
ďIím determined to go forward positively, though. Itís easy to dwell on the negatives and the hard stuff thatís happened this season but all I can do really is to focus on the positives,Ē Winks stressed.
In addition, the team coached by Mauricio Pochettino has also officially renewed young US center-back Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Carter-Vickers, 20, who played the first half of the season on loan at Sheffield United and the second half at Ipswich Town, will be with Tottenham until 2021.
