Aguero Returns to City’s Training after Recovering from Accident

LONDON – Argentine forward Sergio Aguero returned on Tuesday to training with Manchester City after recovering from injuries suffered in a car accident, the Premier League team said.

City’s top scorer was expected to be sidelined for a long time due to a rib injury suffered in a car accident in Amsterdam last month.

“Man City fans will be delighted to learn Sergio Aguero returned to training on Tuesday morning,” the club said on its website.

Aguero took part in a “light session with a City physio” and is expected to train more intensively in the next days, the club said.

City tops the Premier League standings with 19 points on goal differential and is ahead of cross-town rival Manchester United.

City is scheduled to play a home match against Stoke City on Saturday after the international break.
