Watford Snatches 1 Point after 3-3 Draw against Liverpool

LONDON Defender Miguel Britos scored a late equalizer for Watford to secure a 3-3 draw against Liverpool in the first round of the Premier League on Saturday at the Vicarage Road Stadium.

Italian forward Stefano Okaka opened the scoring for Watford after just eight minutes.

Sadio Mane scored the equalizer for Liverpool in the 29th minute, but Abdoulaye Doucoure gave the lead to Watford with a second goal just three minutes later.

Liverpool equalized 10 minutes into the second half when Roberto Firmino scored the second goal from a penalty.

Mohamed Salah, who made his Premier League debut on Saturday, scored the third goal for Liverpool only two minutes later.

However, Uruguayan defender Britos scored a late equalizer for Watford in the injury time to prevent Liverpool from achieving its first away victory in the Premier League.

With this draw, Liverpool and Watford provisionally hold second and third positions respectively with one point each, two points behind Arsenal who defeated Leicester City 4-3 on Friday in the Premier League opener.
