Cousins Dominates in Kings’ 100-94 Win over Pistons

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – DeMarcus Cousins dominated in the paint and also showcased his 3-point game in the Sacramento Kings’ 100-94 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

The 6-foot-11, 270-pound center scored 24 points on 8-of-14 shooting from the field and was his team’s top 3-point shooter on Tuesday night at Golden 1 Center, making four of his five shots from long range.

He also hauled down 13 rebounds.

The Kings (16-22) rallied from a 13-point deficit at halftime and a nine-point disadvantage at the start of the fourth quarter to snap a three-game losing streak.

“He looks great every night,” reserve big man Kosta Koufos said afterward. “He’s the kind of player who can get 30 points and 20 rebounds every night. ... It’s why he’s one of the best players in the league.”

Forward Anthony Tolliver added 17 points, while Koufos contributed 12 points.

The Pistons (18-22) were led by guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who scored 21 points, while Reggie Jackson scored 19 and Tobias Harris added 18.

In other NBA results on Tuesday night, the Utah Jazz upset the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers 100-92, the Milwaukee Bucks surprised the San Antonio Spurs 109-107 and the Golden State Warriors topped the Miami Heat 107-95.
